The world rests on the arms of heroes, as a child rests in the arms of his father. Therefore, the valiant deserve honour under all circumstances. Across the three realms of existence, nothing surpasses courage. The warrior safeguards the nation, sustains society, and upholds the order of the world—upon his bravery rests the survival of civilisation itself.
Ancient Indian seers revered valour as the most direct path to the divine. The Mahabharata proclaims that Indra’s celestial realm is reserved for those who willingly embrace martyrdom on the battlefield. In the great Kurukshetra war, Sri Krishna commanded Arjuna to rise and fight—assuring him that victory would bring sovereignty on earth, and heroic death would secure eternal glory in heaven. For the Indian warrior, there existed no third path—only unwavering duty.
This sacred code of honour has inspired Indian warriors across the ages. Bharat is Sanātan—eternal and unconquerable. Though the land endured periods of foreign rule, independence on 15 August 1947 marked the nation’s renewed civilisational oath, embodied in the ideal “Satyameva Jayate” — Truth Alone Triumphs.
Since that moment, Indian soldiers have defended truth, justice, and sovereignty with unmatched resolve. This National War Memorial (Archives of Valour) stands as a solemn testament to the countless sacrifices and acts of battlefield heroism—before and after 1947—offered by India’s brave sons and daughters in eternal service of the Motherland.
भारत अपना हो महान, यह हर व्यक्ति का सपना हो।
औरों को मत देखो, सोचो योगदान क्या अपना हो।।
Beyond remembrance, this initiative transforms sacrifice into leadership, discipline, border awareness, and national responsibility — especially among India’s youth.
Inspired by the lifelong work of Col. (Hon.) Parvati Jangid Suthar, this mission prepares the next generation to serve Bharat with character, courage, and national consciousness.
Help us document and preserve the complete life journey of every Indian martyr — with dignity, accuracy, and the respect their sacrifice deserves.
